If you want to understand where JOHNSONANDSCOTT's whole reconstruction thing came from, it starts here. Before she was ever a collaborator, she was the person who taught us upcycling in the first place, working with dirty, used, already-lived-in material and finding something in it worth keeping.

Every one-of-one piece we've ever made traces back to what we learned from her. She wasn't just an early collaborator. She was the education.
